I got into painting in 2021 when I was encouraged to try Art as Therapy. After some gentle persuasion I gave it a go, and I haven’t looked back since. I experimented with lots of different mediums — watercolours, oils, lino cut and print — before making an unexpected discovery in 2024.

I was having a cup of coffee during a university lecture and absent-mindedly placed my mug onto a pad beside me. It left a few coffee rings, which I started doodling into. The more I looked at it, the more I liked it. My autism kicked in and, after two weeks of deep-dive Googling and YouTube tutorials, I had taught myself how to do it properly.

I now draw out each piece in ink before adding layers of freshly brewed coffee instead of paint. Different drying times and multiple layers create the unique tones and effects you see in the final artwork.

We now offer a wide range of framed originals and prints, as well as mugs, gift cards, tote bags, keyrings and fridge magnets.
